Sunday Summary

Chase Hyatt Credit Card UPDATE

The Chase Hyatt credit card is one of the best hotel cards out there. A new update made it even better – no annual fee for the first year! It used to be $75 and most people still had no problem paying that up front since you get free nights at any Hyatt hotel in the world! If you have been thinking about this card, now you can kick the thinking up a notch!

Great Running Accessory: the SPIbelt

We often run with a lot of stuff – this is a great accessory that helps you carry and easily manage all of that stuff while out on the run. They have some great products and you need to check them out!

SPG Moments Presents – Run with Dean Karnazes

It was great to see a SPG Moments auction that was built for runners! I am literally an hour flight from this event but was unable to bid no it due to prior commitments. Hopefully some RwM readers got in on this deal and will be joining Dean Karnazes for a couple of runs! I also hope that SPG releases more running-centric packages in the future.

Travel Deal: Earn 16 United Miles per Dollar

Sears ran a great promotion giving 16 United miles per dollar when shopping through the United portal. This has expired now but was a great deal while it lasted!

Southwest Fare Sale $49 and Up

Southwest released another fare sale for tickets starting at $49 one-way. These fare sales are great as the other airlines normally start matching and it makes for some cheaper fares across the board.

Races Affected by the Shutdown

The government shutdown is in its second week and it has affected some races across the country as well as other areas. Check out the list to see if your race is affected and what some of your options are should that be the case.

Aegean Airlines Launches New Fare Classes

I realize most RwM readers have probably not flown Aegean Airlines before, but since it is my new “home” airline, I end up flying it as the first leg of any trip. It is a great airline and they have just released some new fare classes that make travel with Aegean even cheaper for the light traveler. Hopefully other airlines follow suit!

New 100 Mile American Record

Recently, an American runner set a new American record for running 100 miles – under 12 hours! That is simply unbelievable! Read about the paces he kept!

Travel Deal: Miles, Status, and More for $49

Milepoint has launched another premium membership package for the traveler – this time including many more partners to give you even more in value than the $49 cost. Probably the best value for the hotel non-elite is the Hilton Gold status that gives you free breakfast at Hilton hotels!

US Airways Off-Peak Europe

One of the best travel deals in the industry is the ability to fly from North America to multiple cities in Europe for 30,000 miles round-trip! The time is coming so get looking to book these amazing deals! There are still many, many days available! Thanks for following along this week! I am in the transition phase to Boarding Area so will hopefully be on the BA site very soon! When that happens, I will be launching some giveaways you don’t want to miss!
