Here we are – first official week of summer travel, at least as far as people hitting the roads and skies. Memorial Day weekend is a huge travel time and I imagine many of you were doing some of it!

• Wyndham’s Latest Move Again Shows the Danger of Buying Points – Buying points and miles can be a way to get luxury travel on the cheap. But, this latest move by Wyndham shows the dangerous part of buying points.
• Notice Higher Domestic Airfares? You Are Not Alone – American Airlines and Southwest started inching the bar up and now we have base, domestic airfare that is $5 more per leg. Since that happened, we haven’t seen a Southwest sale – coincidence?
• A Simple Travel Accessory to Make Your Airport Security Process Easier – Nothing makes travel more unpleasant than having to deal with long security lines. This little accessory can at least make sure you have your stuff in order when you get up to the line.
• Awesome New Way to Save Big on Garmin Watches – If you in the market for a Garmin watch and there isn’t a sale going on, this is your best bet to get a good deal on Garmin watches.
• Good News for Hertz Packages with Daily Getaways – Last week, Hertz made a really big devaluation in their rewards program – exactly one week before the point packages go on sale with Daily Getaways. Fortunately, they did the right thing with that.
