Buying Flowers for Valentine’s Day? Don’t Forget the Points!!!

Valentine’s Day is a great way to rack up some serious points when you are buying the presents for loved ones! I just showed a few of the ways to best maximize Valentine’s Day purchases.

Dubai Marathon Trip – Doha Premium Terminal / Qatar Airways First Class Lounge (Part 5)

This was Part 5 of my trip concentrating on my short time in the wealthiest (per capita) country in the world – Qatar. Even though I was only there for a short time, you can tell from the description and pictures that they definitely go all out to make their status known to visitors!

Dubai Marathon Trip – Dubai (Part 6)

This was Part 6 of my trip. This was about Dubai itself and what I could see and notice of it in a few short hours the day before the marathon. If you have not visited, I think you will find this to be a very exciting destination for a future trip! Not to mention, it is the richest marathon in the world, so it is nice to be at an international race that puts great effort to put it all out there to get the big names and big times. The city itself is pretty amazing, as you can see from some of the pictures.

Getting Cheap Car Rentals

This was a post I had been meaning to work on for a while. This will help you find the absolute best rental car deals in the country – no fooling! In our vendor example here, all you need to get the best rates is some type of elite status with Delta or one of their co-branded American Express cards. Since the American Express Delta Gold card will give you 30,000 miles after spending $500 in 3 months with the annual fee waived for the first year, you can actually be all set to even get a rental car for free! These tips in this post also work with the United marketplace and Ultimate Rewards, but I have found the Delta marketplace to be the best for my rental needs.

The New American Airlines

Just a brief post about the merger announced between US Airways and American Airlines and what it might mean for you.

US Airways Credit Card Offer Change

One of the best airline credit card offers out there, the 40,000-after-1st-purchase US Airways card, was pulled shortly after the merger announcement. The best offer now is a 35,000 mile offer. Please note: in the original article, I wrote about my affiliate offer that had been 40,000 miles after first purchase, but you had to pay the annual fee the first year. Since then, it appears the bank changed the offer to 30,000 after first purchase without mentioning that to the affiliates. I have updated this article to reflect that change. At this point, the 35,000 mile offer, not my offer, is the best available. Sorry for any confusion.

Junk Mail Saturday

It turns out that this Junk Mail Saturday had some pretty good offers in it! Moral – don’t just throw out all of your “junk mail” without looking through it first. You don’t know what kind of gems might be in there!

Dubai Marathon Trip – Four Points Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road (Part 7)

Part 7 of the trip series. Next part, the marathon itself! This part centers on the hotel I stayed at – the Four Points Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road hotel. It was a very nice hotel and I received a very nice upgrade!
