Race Report: Thessaloniki Half Marathon

I got to run my first international half-marathon a couple of weeks ago and it was a great race! Running a PR doesn’t hurt either ;). This was a very nice race and it was definitely something that I would make a priority if you are going to be in the area of Greece around that time!

Last Days to Receive Big Bonus on Best Domestic Travel Card

The Southwest 50K credit card bonus is probably one of the best travel credit cards and is definitely a top choice for domestic flyers that have an airport served by Southwest. This card was due to expire with the big bonus on October 31 (but it still appears to be available).

United Airlines Award Devaluation

This week, United released some devastating news on their new award structure that absolutely guts their partner award chart. The only good news is that the changes will not go into affect until February 1, 2014, so you have time to book those awards first (you can book for travel for after February 1, but the booking has to occur before that).

NYC Marathon Weekend

The NYC Marathon took place today! Even though I was not there, I was able to watch it on the internet. What an amazing comeback in the women’s race! Always exciting to watch marathons!

Wrong E-mail Recipient = Total Stress

Thank you, Citi, for making my heart jump all over the place! They started sending me statements for a credit card that belonged to someone else with the same last name as me – but not related to me!

That’s it for this week! Thanks for following along and reading – make sure you come back next week for more stories and posts!
