The 2019 Amazon Prime Day is right around the corner and a recent PR e-mail points to the date that we should be able to see sales starting on! Find out what is known as well as a look back at last year’s deals and sales.

Amazon Prime Day 2019 is just around the corner, in fact, just about a month away from right now. For many of us, some of the sales have been even better than Black Friday and have coincided with some awesome promotional discounts from Amazon as well. So, get ready!

Leaked: 2019 Amazon Prime Day Dates

Last year, the leak was on an Amazon home page (the UK page) and this year’s leak came in the form of a PR e-mail that was received by RealHomes. It points to the 2019 Amazon Prime Day starting date as Monday, July 15. As last year, this should run for 36 hours through Wednesday in many times zones. Hopefully, they will not have the problems they did last year – I saw a lot of the “error” dogs popping up for a while (it was estimated that Amazon lost $99 million during that outage!).

Here are some details from past years that should point to this year’s times:

  • Date: July 15
  • End time: 11:59PM PT July 17
  • Frequency: Sales every 5 minutes
  • Who is Eligible: Amazon Prime Members
  • Amazon Prime Day page (not yet set up for 2019)

You will need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of these deals. Find out more about that here.

To find out about the big sellers and some other points of note from Amazon Prime Day 2018, check out this post. Here are some bullet points:

  • Instapots were huge sellers!
  • There were a lot of great Kindle and Amazon device deals
  • Whole Foods saw a ton of sales and savings as well
  • The Ring doorbell was a huge seller as well

I think we can expect some great Kindle device sales again this year though not as good as last year. This is due to the fact that the basic Kindle now includes a built-in light which will make it sell at a slightly higher price. I would say bottom price on that, with any discount for them, would come to $39.

We should see a lot of luggage deals as well. These always sell well and are quite popular. If you can hold off, I would definitely wait a month to see what kind of luggage Amazon drops the prices on.
