The brand new Grand Hyatt SFO is now open – connected directly to San Francisco’s international airport and with some great runway views! Find out about pricing and more!

When you are traveling and have either a late arrival or an early departure, there is nothing quite so great as a true airport hotel. By “true”, I don’t mean a hotel that simply puts “Airport” in their name but are like 5 miles away. 🙂 I’m talking about a hotel that is connected to an airport – or right inside it!

That is what the new Grand Hyatt SFO is – a true airport hotel. Not only is it connected to the terminals but it has its own AirTrans stop at the airport. This Grand Hyatt SFO is now open and can be booked for stays.

Pricing

The Grand Hyatt SFO is a Category 5 so it will cost 20,000 points for a free night. If you want a room with Club Access, that will bump up to 27,000 points per night. Cash rates are not cheap right now with random dates kicking the price to over $400 for a night and some nights dialing in at over $550 for a standard room!

Of course, a hotel like this has some amazing-looking runway views that will be sure to impress aviation fans! But, those rooms are not included as award rooms so you will need to call up to request (if they are able to) or you will need to book with cash. You could also book a standard room and then upgrade to a suite with a runway view using points.

Like many great airport hotels that have international traffic, this one also has day room rates. That will run you $125 for a 6 hour block of time between 8AM and 8PM, plenty of time to get a rest and/or shower before heading out on a transpacific or transcontinental flight.

So, check out this new Grand Hyatt at SFO! I will definitely want to book a day room sometime simply for the runway views!
