I often talk about airline and hotel app updates as that space is getting much better for the traveler that spends more time on their phones than on a computer. Travel companies are finally realizing that and incorporating updates to their apps to give more of an independent experience on the app from the website.
Update Your United App Now to Keep Using Onboard Entertainment
Rarely is their a must-do app update but if you use the United app on your device for onboard entertainment, this is a must-do update! As of August 13, the United app will no longer support the onboard entertainment that United provides through the app. You must have version 3.0.15 (for iOS) on your iPhone or iPad in order for it to continue working.
It is a 174 MB download so make sure you connect to WiFi before boarding your flight on August 13 to get it downloaded!
