American Airlines has finally updated their app to allow for something that Delta and United apps already had available – the booking of awards in app. For those that like to do things on the go, this is good news!

It appears that this feature may have been on the Android app as of the October 18 update.

For iOS owners, you can now use your AA miles to book awards for American or partners right inside the app. This is helpful for those that like to do things on their phone but also a great improvement since AA now lets you book more partners (like Qatar) directly online.

This little update gives you ability to grab those award seats as soon as they become available instead of having to wait until you get to a computer or trying to do it through the AA website on your phone.
