The first of another month is here and that means new Amex Offers! But, in reality, the best Amex Offers normally come when the first weekday of the month is a Monday but we will take what we can get! Especially when it is points!
New Amex Offers For Earning Thousands of Points for Hotels [Targeted]
These are both targeted offers and are for Membership Reward earning cards. They may show up on other cards as well but will be for a similar equivalent in cash back instead of points.
Hilton
- Get 3,500 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $300+ on room rate and room charges at Hilton properties
- Valid through 9/30/2017
- Book direct with Hilton
- Offer only valid at Hilton properties in the US & US territories
- Offer does not apply to advance purchase rates, including Advance Purchase, Save Now & Pay and Non-refundable rates
- Excludes gift card purchases
Since this excludes advance purchase rates (which are typically the cheaper rates anyway), it does mean you need to stay by 9/30/2017 and have it charged to you by then. There was a spend $300, get $60 back offer before and normal offers like that would translate right over to points (so, this offer would be to get 6,000 points back if it was like others). Still, getting over 12 Membership Reward points per dollar is hardly a bad thing, especially for something easy like hotels!
Amex Travel for Hotels
- Get 7,500 (some people are getting 10,000) additional Membership Reward points one-time by using your enrolled card to make a single purchase of $500+ for a prepaid hotel

This is an exceptional deal! If you have it, definitely save it! Now, using it may be harder but if you can, this is a great deal indeed!
Takeaway
As I have said before, targeted offers are not really that bad of a thing! I have the first offer but not the second but it does not mean that the second may now show up depending on how their systems are doing with tracking those who save it/use it. Either way, it is nice to see offers like this out there!
