Overwater bungalows in faraway places are the things that can make your Instagram followers and friends quite jealous. After all, they are certainly beautiful to look at and there is something about stepping out from your private villa and seeing water all around you. Well, if having an overwater villa was not enough, you can now book an underwater bungalow that looks pretty fantastic.
The World’s First Underwater Villa Is Now Open
This special, underwater villa was first announced earlier this year but it has just opened now and is accepting guests!
Where Is It?
Where else would such a private and exclusive villa be but in the Maldives, home to many luxurious and overwater villas and bungalows. This underwater villa is located at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island – a Hilton property.
How Much Does It Cost?
The website does not even show this particular villa, which is named the Muraka, as available for booking. If you actually want to book it, you will need to call them up to talk about it.
But, if you were to book a 4 night package, that will cost you $200,000! Suffice it to say, I don’t think we will be seeing a review of it from any points and miles bloggers anytime soon!
For that price, you will have a 24 hour dedicated staff that includes a butler, chef, and on call specialists. You will also have exclusive access to a speedboat while at the property. Click here to see some of the services offered for these guests.
As you can see from the photos, it is a pretty amazing suite of space! Visitors can choose to sleep above water or underwater and that would have to be one of the most exclusive rooms in the world!

Maybe Lucky can start another Kickstarter.
I read that all properties in the Maldives will be converted to underwater at some point.
By natural causes or by design? 🙂

Maybe in another 50-100 years all the hotels there will be under water.
They’ll probably need to build an overwater airport.
Citi Prestige 4th night free =)
Awesome! 🙂
