If you want the consistently best credit card for Amazon shopping, here is the Amazon Prime credit card with an instant $200 gift card – no spending requirement.

The Amazon Prime card is not one people normally think of as being a great points card and that is because – it really isn’t! However, it does earn a consistent 5% back on Amazon purchases (with some promotions bringing that all the way to 20%) and offering a constant interest-free payment option on purchases from Amazon. If you don’t have the card, it has a rare, higher sign-up bonus right now.

Coming up to the busiest shopping season of the year, it is easy to say that most online shoppers will do some of that shopping and spending on Amazon. If you do not have an Amazon Prime credit card and do a lot of shopping at Amazon, you may want to take a look at this card. However, it is issued by Chase so you will find it subject to the Chase 5/24 rule and obviously, there are better Chase cards to slot in there if you are eligible!

But, if you are a big Amazon shopper and the 5% back means more to you than travel rewards (which this card also has), take a look at what this card offers.

  • $200 Amazon gift instantly on approval
  • No annual fee
  • Earn 5% back on Amazon.com and Whole Foods
  • Earn 2% at restaurants, drug stores, and gas stations

You can use the rewards directly on Amazon at 1 cent per point, or you can get cash back with the points earned. Lastly, you can use these points for travel but you must call (855-234-2538) to book travel. I would not suggest doing this as it is the same 1 cent per point value as you would get on Amazon redemptions but you are instead dealing with an online travel agency which can be problematic if you have trouble with your flight/reservation.

One nice thing about this card that you don’t see with others is that Amazon actually treats this as an Amazon product so you can scroll to the bottom of the page to read the reviews on this card. 🙂 I wish other cards had this but remember that most people come back to leave reviews on something when it doesn’t work for them so keep that in mind!

  • I used your link and only got a $100 offer. But, that’s better than a poke in the eye! Living in Alaska we depend on Amazon Prime. Thanks

  • I am a prime member and attempted to complete the application for the Prime Credit Card with the $200.00 gift card upon approval. When I click on that link, it takes me to the application for the card offering $150.00 gift card. Don’t understand.
Is the $200.00 offer still good?
