Wow! What A Difference for This SPG All-Star Package From Last Year to This Year!

Written by Charlie

This year, one of the SPG All-Star packages went for a lot more in points than the same package from last year – a whole lot more! It shows how great these packages can really be and what great deals you can get from them.

SPG Moments packages offer some incredible experiences, some that are not even possible to get with money. Some of those include things like sporting events and a staple of the program for years has been the MLB All-Star game.

SPG All-Star Game Packages – 300,000 Points More This Year!

Last year, I had plans to pick up one of the packages as a Father’s Day gift. I really didn’t care which package it was as I wanted tickets for the All-Star events and each package provided them (they only varied with the unique experiences offered). I had made the mistake of assuming that each package was ending at the same time so was prepared to bid at the time of the package I had checked earlier.

Last Year’s Cheapest SPG All-Star Package

Nope! They all ended at different times and as each package ended, the bidders got more desperate and the bidding went higher with each one. Had I been aware of this, I would have bid on the package that included participating in the celebrity softball game that went for a measly 42,000 Starpoints. It had included all of this:

  • Two (2) tickets to All-Star Sunday featuring the SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game and the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball including access for one (1) to participate* in one (1) at-bat and one-half inning playing in the field in the All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Gameat Marlins Park in Miami on 9 July 2017
  • Two (2) tickets to Gatorade All-Star Workout Day featuring the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on 10 July 2017
  • Two (2) tickets to the MLB All-Star Game on 11 July 2017
  • Two (2) MLB All-Star FanFest tickets on one day of MLB All-Star Week, 7–11 July 2017

That is an awesome package and I think someone got it for a steal!

This Year’s Price for the Same SPG All-Star Package

This year’s price for the same SPG All-Star package!

Well, this year, I had encouraged those interested in getting SPG All-Star packages to focus on that same package as it was the one ending earlier and it was apparently not as in demand as some of the other packages that included being in the dugout or on the field for various parts of the weekend.

Boy, was I wrong! That same exact package for this year’s All-Star game went for a stunning 351,000 Starpoints! Now, I know this one is taking place in Washington, DC instead of the Miami location from last year, but I hardly think the stadium would cause the same package to jump over 300,000 Starpoints from last year!

For whatever reason, that package went for more this year than the other packages already sold. I am not sure why but I am really disappointed now that I had not won that package last year! That was an absolute steal when compared to it this year!

Did you ever win a SPG All-Star game package? How was it?
