Heading to Greece? Aegean Airlines is offering a promo where all kids fly free with an adult – to/from or within Greece!

Aegean Airlines has a new promo out where kids all fly for free! This is a great deal that they have run before and it is a wonderful way to take the family on a trip with an airline that takes great care of families.

Ever year or so, Aegean Airlines offers a promo where the kids fly free. This is a great way to fly around as a family at low-cost carrier prices but with all the pleasantness of a great airline – one that is proudly Greek as well.

The only thing you will pay is the same taxes/fees that you would have on an award ticket. The actual ticket price is free, just the airport or government taxes will need to be paid. These can vary on the airport so keep that in mind. Athens, for example, is more expensive than other Greek airports.

Here are the details about this promo:

  • The offer is valid for all direct and connecting flights to/from Greece from/to all international and domestic destinations.
  • Valid for bookings between February 1 – February 20, 2024
  • Valid for travel from March 1, 2024 until October 31, 2024 for flights operated by AEGEAN and Olympic Air.
    • No discount is applied on flights from international destination to international destination across our network between July 1, 2024 – September 15, 2024.
    • All codeshare flights are excluded from this offer.
  • This offer is only valid when there is at least one adult and one child or infant under the same booking, and it does not apply to children travelling alone.
  • 100% discount applies for children and infants when booking the Family fare.
    • 50% discount applies for children and 100% discount applies for infants when booking the ComfortFlex fare.
    • There is no discount for children’s tickets travelling on the Light or Flex fare, but there is a 90% discount for infants.
  • The discount is applied on all fares and fuel surcharges. Fares and fuel surcharges shown on the reservation system are already reduced accordingly.
  • In case of ticket cancellation refund policy is applied depending on fare category.
  • Ticket changes are permitted – relevant charges depend on fare category.
  • The offer is valid for Economy Class fares.
  • A “Child” is a passenger from 2-11 years old

So, in practice, what does this look like? The last time I used this, I flew with my three sons who had, at the time all been 11 years or younger. So, I only paid for my ticket and those three were free, except for $15 in taxes/fees.

This still holds true – you need an adult on the reservation to activate the 100% child discount but that can be for as many children as you are traveling with. It is not a 1 adult/1 child arrangement.

In addition, the Family fare also comes with the following:

  • 50% discount on pre-purchased checked baggage
  • Unlimited changes without rebooking fee
  • Free standard seat selection
  • 20% extra miles (if you have a Together ForFamilies account)

If you use the promo code FAMILIESFAST40, you can get a 40% discount on Fast Track security access. This isn’t really a big deal (elites get the same access for free) except in someplace like Athens International Airport at very busy times.

But, when it comes to boarding, families always get priority boarding and Aegean has always been excellent in caring about kids onboard. My family loves flying Aegean.
