The Southwest schedule has just been extended and now stretches into April of 2019. This is good news for all fans of the popular airline because it means you can at least lock in tickets now – and then always cancel or rebook them at later times and save more money.
The Southwest Schedule Extended – Into April, 2019

In the case of Southwest, since you are able to change your bookings at no penalty and even rebook at lower prices, it makes total sense to lock in travel for vacation periods when the schedule opens and then change the booking later if the price drops. This newest extension moves the bookable limit of March 6 up to
Book Now
With spring break season now in the bookable calendar, it means that many people will be booking up the earlier, cheaper fares. If you are interested in the time that just opened – from March 7 – April 7 – you should book now! The Southwest schedule now runs through April 7, 2019.
Unfortunately, they have stopped just shy of the dates for the Boston Marathon! You can watch for those dates to open up with the next schedule extension which will drop September 27 (after you know whether you will be running the Boston Marathon anyway!).
So, start looking and locking in your Southwest vacation flights. You can always cancel and rebook later if a sale gets the prices lower than you pay today.
