We are just about one year from the day that borders began to close to non-citizens around the world as Covid-19 spread. Travel halted for most and airlines parked their planes. But, travel is ticking back up again as domestic travel numbers climbed over 1 million passengers through TSA checkpoints recently. If you are one of the people planning travel for this year – or next – this new TripIt Pro feature will help.

A little over a year ago, an American could hop a plane for international destinations all over, needing nothing but a ticket and a passport to gain entry to well over a hundred countries. Now, due to Covid-19 spread and subsequent country closures, that is not nearly as easy.
Travel guidelines and allowances for various countries change on almost a weekly basis, if not daily. Some countries are announcing openings in the coming months while others are still keeping things sealed up. How do you keep up with it all?
For those that have the free version of TripIt (which is great!), you can find out a lot of that information after you have planned your trip and have had the itinerary imported into TripIt. But, for all you TripIt Pro customers, now you can plan your trip in the light of Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines easily.
This is all accessible from the Pro tab in your TripIt app. The Covid-19 Guidance will let you search for more than 200 countries and regions to find the information you need for planning your trip.
This Covid-19 Travel Guidance feature includes the latest guidelines, restrictions, and requirements for where you are planning to visit – all before actually booking the trip. This also includes things like the most recent infection rates and quarantine and/or testing rules you need to know upon arrival. This is all updated on a daily basis from their partner Riskline.
This information is hard to keep track of for sure so this makes it a whole lot easier to access having it part of the premier travel app. While travel may have slowed over the last year, TripIt did not as they incorporated the new era of travel into their app. In so doing, TripIt Pro may be more important for travelers now than ever before.
