Summer is about to be here and travelers are slowly taking to the skies and roads yet again. To make those trips a bit more lucrative for your points balance, Hyatt has a return of their Bonus Journeys promotion – this time with triple points on your earnings!

Up from the standard 2x earnings, members will now earn 3x points on all Hyatt stays from June 15 – September 15, after their first qualifying night. To help out on that first night, elite members will earn 2,500 points on that first qualifying stay.
Here are the details of the Hyatt Bonus Journeys promotion.
- All members can earn Triple Points on eligible spend starting with their second qualifying stay during the offer period. This includes:
- Participating Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide across 17 brands such as Thompson Hotels, Hyatt Regency, Andaz, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House.
- Participating MGM Resorts destinations Small Luxury Hotels of the World hotels and Lindblad Expedition experiences.
- Plus, elite World of Hyatt members (Discoverist, Explorist, Globalist) can earn 2,500 Bonus Points on their first qualifying stay from June 15 through September 15, 2020.
To participate, travelers must:
- Be a World of Hyatt member and first register for Bonus Journeys by August 31, 2020 (membership is complimentary).

- Make an eligible reservation and include their World of Hyatt membership number with their reservation.
- Stay at participating locations with a checkout date between June 15 and September 15, 2020.
Earn More Points with the Hyatt Credit Card
Here is the thing – if you do not have the World of Hyatt credit card (and are also not an elite), you may want to consider applying for the World of Hyatt credit card. Not only is it one of the stronger hotel cards around, but they have a special bonus until June 30, 2020.
The special bonus is to earn a total of 10 elite night credits instead of the usual 5. That means you will have enough elite nights to automatically get Discoverist status – making you eligible for the 2,500 point bonus on your first night! So, if you plan to get the card this month, DO NOT register for the promotion above just yet! Wait until your account shows your elite status and then register as an elite to get the 2,500 points on your first stay.
Plus, you will be earning at least 19 per dollar with the Triple Point bonus, 4 points for the co-branded card earnings, and at least 5 points for your elite status! That is a nice return on spending for hotel stays!
Bottom Line
The Hyatt Bonus Journeys promo is a good one if you think you will be traveling this summer. It is a good sign to see hotels offering a promotion to help us get started with travel again. With them having extended elite status for another year, this is a good way to encourage travelers to still stay at Hyatt this year.
