There is a new Hyatt promo that will award members 2,500 Hyatt points for every 5 nights stayed at Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency properties. This is a nice way to earn some extra bonus points for your hotel stays this summer!

Earlier this year, we saw promotions from Hyatt for stays at Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties. Now, they are expanding on those promotions with two more brands in the mix – Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency.

This promotion is perfect for business and casual travelers alike. The Hyatt Regency brand is more geared toward business travelers (more so than Hyatt Place properties) so this should be helpful for them.

Also, the night requirement is minimal (breaking down to earning 500 points per night when you stay 5 nights) and it is stackable so this could shape up to offer some nice point bonuses for those with stays upcoming at Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency properties.

New Hyatt Promo Details:

  • Earn 2,500 Bonus Points after 5 qualifying nights at Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency hotels
  • Valid for stays from June 1, 2018 – August 31, 2018
  • Must register by July 15, 2018
  • There is no limit to the number of bonus points members can earn (essentially, you could earn as much as 45,000 bonus points from this promo if you spent every night of the promo in hotels).

Analysis

This is a nice bonus if you have some Hyatt stays upcoming. I like that it is nights and not stays that Hyatt is rewarding as there will be many people staying at hotels for vacations this summer.

If you can swing stays at both properties, don’t forget that you only need stays at 5 Hyatt brands to earn a free Category 1 – 4 award night!

Here is a list of all Grand Hyatt hotels and a list of all Hyatt Regency hotels so you can see where they fit with your travel schedules. Most of my nights in a year are at Hyatt Regency properties and I get a fair number during the summer so I am looking forward to racking up some bonus points!

This certainly doesn’t replace the old 1,000 point Diamond bonus when checking into hotels like Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt but as someone who has slipped to Explorist, I will gladly take what works out to 500 points per night!
