There have been quite a few movements in the upper end of hotel groups – even during Covid – with new locations being announced or opened in Greece. The latest is from the internationally renowned Mandarin Oriental brand and they are bringing a luxury resort to Greece.
Mandarin Oriental Opening in Greece

The location for this luxury property is in the popular area of Costa Navarino. There are already some well-acclaimed properties there (a Westin and a Romanos) and now there will be a Mandarin Oriental there as well.
The Lobby of the Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino
This new resort is set to open next year and will have 99 guest rooms across the property, which will include 48 villas with pools. This will not be a cheap property but in a country filled with beautiful destinations and hotels to go with it, the Mandarin Oriental in Costa Navarino will certainly draw people who want an elevated experience in the beauty of the Peloponnese.
Thanks to the work in building the Costa Navarino area, there are plenty of places to enjoy experiences and activities nearby, including The Bay Course, a golf course operated in Costa Navarino. On the Mandarin Oriental property, there will also be 5 different restaurants so you should be able to find something different each day of your stay, even if you never leave the resort area.
This hotel will open in the spring of 2023. But, the Costa Navarino will be seeing another property open even sooner, a W Costa Navarino that is set to open this summer.
For those wanting points options, the Westin and the W will provide that. For those not minding to shell out the cash for a luxury resort, the Mandarin Oriental will be there for you next year. Hopefully, I will get a chance to visit it for a review to let you know what it is like.
