So, which one to choose? I use them all for various things but here are some use cases where each one excels.
Insta360 GO Ultra
This little camera is my go-to for all my running. It has a magnetic back so great for slapping on street signs to catch running past shots. It has a matte finish to the camera module so it’s less slippery. It can be operated in or out of the action pod. I use it on a headband and it works great for keeping footage steady even when running 6 minute per mile paces. It is more expensive than the Ace Pro 2 so I would choose the GO Ultra if you need a tiny camera for shooting.
Insta360 X5
This one is the one to capture literally EVERYTHING! This lets you capture in 360 degrees and then you can reframe after or upload as 360 to something like Youtube and let people pan around on their own.
There are so many great features with this camera and the possibilities are endless with it! I love this for travel because I can just hit record and hold it up and capture everything so I don’t need to think about what I am shooting. After, I can reframe to get the angles I want. This is the camera to choose for capturing anything and everything.
Insta360 Ace Pro 2
This is their top action camera. It is built tough and durable with up to 8K recording (great for zooming in later to get 4K content zoomed). This camera is great for vlogging. If you don’t need a tiny action camera, go for this one. It has longer recording time on batteries and you can swap batteries (you can’t on the GO Ultra).
