You can now book from this list of 100 IHG hotels on the IHG PointsBreaks for only 5,000 points per night – or you could make it $23 per night!

The list of IHG PointBreaks hotels is now live and available to book! You can see the full list at this post here.

IHG PointsBreaks Live – 100 Hotels for 5,000 Points per Night (or $23)

As I wrote this morning, there is a limited-time deal (apparently some are having problems with it not being available) where you can “buy” points for only .46 cents each!

IHG pointsbreaks

I found rates for 1/2 cent per point but Nick from Frequent Miler found other properties that yielded an even better rate!

Buy Points for $23 for 5,000

So, if you want to buy points to use for this round of PointBreaks, here is what you need to do:

  • Have points in your account – you will need at least some points (probably 15,000 points) in your account to make the Points & Cash rate work
  • Book a room at someplace like the Chicago Downtown Gold Coast and use 15,000 points and $92
  • After you book the reservation, cancel it
  • You will receive the full 35,000 points back and no cash, meaning you bought 20,000 points for $92

Now, you will have just accumulated enough points for a IHG PointsBreak hotel – times 4! That breaks down to only $23 per night!

This is a great way to make these IHG PointBreaks an even better deal than they already are! But, if you see that offer for the Points & Cash, I would move on it soon! I am not sure if they are mistakenly opening it up to almost everyone or not.
