Yesterday, I wrote about a new Delta card offer that gives up to 70,000 miles on the Platinum cards and 50,000 on the Gold cards. Well, today, there is an even better offer on the Gold card and it gives you $100 credit instead! Here is how to get the better Delta card offer.

The limited-time bonus on the Delta personal Gold offer is for 50,000 miles after $2,000 in spending and you get a $50 credit on your first Delta purchase. This better Delta card offer has all the same features except it bumps the credit up to $100.

Like many credit card offers, often the best ones can be had by simply going through a reservation process – without ever pulling the trigger (the reason is that card issuers can pass the extra money to the customer instead of paying an affiliate – like my blog – a similar amount for the referral). It is no different with the better Delta card offer.

To begin, head over to Delta.com and start a trip booking. It doesn’t really matter what you put because you will not be paying for the ticket.

Get a $100 credit instead of $50!

Once you select your flights, continue to the checkout/payment page. At the bottom, you will see that if you apply then, you will receive a $100 statement credit on your first Delta purchase – plus the 50,000 miles. Go ahead and apply!

This is a nice way to get a better Delta card offer if you have not had the Delta Gold offer before (the bonus is once per lifetime).
