Germanwings A320 Crashes In French Alps

It has just been reported that a Germanwings (a Lufthansa subsidiary ) Airbus A320 crashed enroute from Barcelona to Dusseldorf. It appears to be flight 9525 that was scheduled to land in 11:25AM local time.

Reports state that there were 142 passengers and 6 crew members. For more details on flight path and more, see this article.

It is still early yet, but my thoughts and prayers are certainly with the families of those onboard and those who work to locate the crash and victims.

  • This is a blog about running and the deals that get you to races free.

Macabre to see a story like this here.

    • I am sorry you feel that way. This is a travel blog that has a focus on the running and races as well as general travel. A tragedy like this is something that anyone who travels feels a connection to and, because I have readers that are traveling in Europe even now, I thought it would be something to bring to their’s and other’s attention.
You can dislike that I wrote about it, but you have no idea how incidents like this impact me and other travelers. When something like this even occurs, I often do not even feel like posting something about deals so soon after the fact. A time and a place and I wrestle with balancing both.
