There were a whole slate of new Garmin GPS watches that were released this year. They included such things as AMOLED displays on more watches, better heart rate sensors, and more features. And, many of them are on sale during these periods for the first time ever!

Let’s start with the cheapest and move to the more expensive. If this is your first time looking for a Garmin GPS watch, let me make it easier for you. The base Garmin GPS watches will offer you plenty of features to get started in your fitness efforts. From there, the price goes up due to different materials used (the top watches have titanium bodies and sapphire glass) as well as better sensors/GPS chips.

The Garmin Venu 3 is a lifestyle Garmin watch, coming with a large 1.4 inch AMOLED display and with different colors/cases. If you want Garmin’s closest thing to an Apple Watch, this would be it.

The Garmin Vivoactive 5 is also a new watch from Garmin this year and its upgrade is the AMOLED display. This is the cheaper version of the Venu.

Next up is the Garmin Forerunner 265andForerunner 965. These are for people who are more serious about their running or other outdoor sports. They both were upgraded with the new sensors and AMOLED displays. I had tried out the Forerunner 965 and it is really a great watch! Not only does it have 1.4″ display (something the similarly sized Epix and Fenix watches do not have) but it also has a menu/display system I do like more than the Epix.

Last up is the Garmin Epix, the Garmin Epix Pro, the Garmin Fenix 7 Pro series watches. The Garmin Epix 2nd generation is an amazing watch, especially at the prices we are seeing. The Epix Pro (my current Garmin) upgrades it with a flashlight (seriously, you cannot believe how handy this thing is until you have it!) as well as new heart rate sensor, and some other minor upgrades. The new Garmin Epix Pro and Garmin Fenix 7 watches come in three different sizes each.

There are some great watches here and all of them (except the original Garmin Epix 2nd gen) were released this year. So, it is great to see sales on these so soon after release!
