I have covered a lot about Apple Watch models here, especially how they compare to the Garmin watches for runners. The latest price drop on the Apple Watch Series 3 watches put the Apple Watch squarely up against the Garmin Vivoactive 3 – a popular lifestyle/running watch. Is it time to take the plunge and go with Apple?

Since I have written a ton of posts on my use of the Apple Watch Series 3 and the Garmin watches, here are some posts to help you decide if this is a good deal for you:

Personally, I have used/reviewed every single Apple Watch model and compared them heavily in both features and uses against the Garmin watches. I am now at 210 days of an Apple Watch instead of a Garmin (first time ever for me!) and that is with the Apple Watch Series 4. I found that the Series 4 presented enough things for me to finally switch, including the larger display, better battery life, and new safety features.
With that said, at its current price point, the Apple Watch Series 3 presents the best value option for anyone looking for an Apple Watch right now. For as little as $199 ($229 for the 42mm model), you get a quality smartwatch with built-in GPS and you get it new.
