Last month, we had Greece on sale for cheap and now, OneWorld alliance airlines have put much of Europe on sale as well. The good news? This deal is also good from a host of smaller, regional airports as well! If you want to try to get one trip to Europe in this year (and are able to make it in the country of choice), this is a good time for that.
Europe on Sale from Just $260 From All Over the US

I am seeing some of the cheapest flights being out of NYC to Dublin and Vilnius, Lithuania but from a host of other US airports to airports served around Europe, there are prices around $300 as well.
These prices are available on American Airlines and their alliance partners. While sub-$300 airfares to Europe are not uncommon, getting those prices from small, regional airports is uncommon. I have checked some of my classic small market airlines and have found these prices to be solid indeed!
One of the good things is that Greece is one of those countries on sale. With the European Commission recommending Americans be limited from entering the EU (which some countries have limited to vaccination status while others are implementing quarantines), it may be helpful to find that Greece has no plans to close up their borders to any Americans, at least until the end of the tourist season.
Remember that these prices are for Basic Economy. That means you will need to pay for a checked bag and seat, etc. But, if you don’t mind just hopping over with minimal gear, your carryon can definitely get you by (I travel by myself exclusively with a carryon!).
To get the absolute cheapest prices, you will need a Saturday night but you can still get cheap tickets with just 24 hours on the trip! So, if anyone is still chasing elite status, this could work nicely. Just remember to check the requirements for testing and such since some countries still do require even vaccinated travelers to have testing. This could raise your cost. But, if you make a fast enough turn, you could get an antigen before leaving the US and then use that same test on the return if it is within 3 days from your departure to the US! 🙂
