2 Day Sale from Alaska Air – Starting at 5,000 Miles or $39

With a new airfare sale from Alaska, you can fly from just 5,000 miles or $39! This could be a good deal to use 5,000 miles for flights up to a couple of hours or more, or you can pay $39 for some flights!

Tuesday is the day that many carriers in the US launch airfare sales – these include Southwest, Spirit, Frontier, and Alaska (and sometimes JetBlue). To mix it up this week, Alaska is also running a 2 day sale on award tickets.

Alaska Award Sale Details:

  • Purchase by 11:59 pm (PT) on December 5, 2018, and at least 21 days prior to departure.
  • Travel is valid Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from January 8, 2019 – March 6, 2019.
  • Blackout dates are from February 14, 2019 to February 25, 2019
  • Some of these may be different for certain city pairs

Tickets must be redeemed by tomorrow (December 5) night at midnight. There are some nice distance flights available for under 10,000 miles one way. Here are some examples:

While using Alaska miles for premium cabins on partner airlines is really a tremendous value, it could also be a nice deal to use just 5,000 miles for a 2 hour flight! The above example would give your Alaska miles a value of 1.68 cents each. Not bad!
