2020 Summer Olympics Packages for Hotel and Event Tickets Now Available - But, They Are Not Cheap!

The pre-sale for US buyers of 2020 Summer Olympic tickets found huge online “waiting” lines the day the gates opened – and many of them left without getting any tickets at all. Thanks to the beautiful city of Tokyo and the reputation of the Japanese people for handling things with such grace and detail, the 2020 Summer Olympics will be a tough ticket for sure!

We are now one year from the start of the 2020 Summer Olympics and CoSport (the official distributor of Olympics tickets to US buyers) is “celebrating” by making hotel and ticket packages available for the first time. If you have your heart set on going to the 2020 Summer Olympics, you are going to need to open up your wallet to cover it! True, tickets will likely be available at later times (and maybe even through legitimate resellers during the games) but if you like to have your plans nailed down ahead of time, it will cost you!

As I wrote about before, using points for hotels is going to be a difficult thing indeed with Hyatt not even having any of their hotels available for even cash bookings! So, getting a ticket/hotel package may just be what you need to do to make sure you are covered.

Here are the three kinds of packages that CoSport has available for US buyers.

The first one (and most expensive) is called the Premier Package and has the following available:

4 star accomodation
Pre-selected tickets
Transportation
VIP hospitality

The cost is quite a sum and likely more than most readers would be interested in spending!

But, never fear, there are cheaper packages as well!

The next one down the run is the Flex Package Here is what it offers:

4 or 3 star accomodation
Fixed quantities of self-selected event tickets from dedicated inventory

This package starts at $6,000 for double occupancy (per person).

There was a 3rd package but it sold out since I started writing this (with packages starting at $11,000!) so if you are interested in these packages, act fast!
