The Virgin Galactic is Richard Branson’s project to bring tourism to space travel. It has taken several test flights and they have already had names added (over 700) to their waiting list of people ready to pay the $250,000 price for the opportunity. Of course, it is also the most expensive flight in the world for miles with a cost of 2 million Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles.
Unfortunately, during a test just a short time ago, that spacecraft has crashed killing 1 pilot and wounding the other pilot. Virgin is saying that “During the test, the vehicle suffered a serious anomaly resulting in the loss of the vehicle.” It is reported that the injured pilot has received major injuries.
