It is time for another giveaway on what I like to think is the perfect running/travel accessory. It is the well-designed SPIbelt. SPIbelt has graciously given two belts for this giveaway, so this giveaway will have two winners that will each receive one of these great belts. I use one of mine each and every day on the run and when I am traveling. My newest one is the large belt (one of which I will be giving away) and is the perfect size for my iPhone 6 Plus.
The SPIbelt
Last year, i wrote about the spibelt – an accessory by runners for runners, but one that I have found to be very useful in travel as well. The SPIbelt is a spandex/lycra blend that allows for it to be very lightweight and expandeable to carry all of your essential gear with you without weighing you down or even feeling it bounce. I never go on a run without my SPIbelt and it has become a permanent part of my gear and travel bag.
SPIbelt has actually grown to make many varities of their product to allow for wrist straps (for small items) all the way up to messenger bags (to wear over the back and carry such things as iPads). Within the belt family, they also have options such as belts with gel slots as well as race bib tags. They also make belts for insulin pumps.
Probably one of the best things about these belts is that they are manufactured right in the US. I already have a couple that I use to carry my phone, credit cards, license (or passport when abroad), gels, and key and I can carry it all without any bouncing.
For All Travelers
For travel, these are great because you can put the usual contents of your pockets into a SPIbelt and wear that through the airport until you get through security. It makes it easy as it gives you access to all of your important stuff while allowing it to all be put on the X-ray belt with just unclipping the belt. Even when you get to your destination it can continue to be useful as it functions as a great way to carry stuff without having to wear something bulky (no fanny packs!).
The Giveaway Rules
For this giveaway, you can enter with any comment you want (that is family friendly). To get extra entries, you can also enter at Twitter. For Twitter entries, you must be following me – here – and tweet a comment to me about the giveaway with the hashtag #SPIbelt.
The SPIbelts that I am giving away are different – one is a black/black Endurance belt series and the other is a black/black large SPIbelt (that will comfortably hold the iPhone 6 Plus or Samsung Note phones). I will give the first person that I randomly draw the option of which belt they want.
Here are the rules:
- The giveaway will end at 11:59PM EST Sunday (October 13)
- You may enter once per person per method (comments and Twitter)
- Your comment can be about anything (must be family friendly)
- You must live in the US
- The winner will be randomly drawn, courtesy of Random.org
- I will post on Monday who the winner was
- Results are final and all decisions are made by me alone – SPIbelt has given these belts for the giveaway, but I am the one making the final decision
I enjoy learning from all of your posts!
I have a similar belt by Amphipod (sp?). I tightened it too much around my waist, wore it under my shirt and ran a half marathon. I’ve got a scar from that… So keep in mind, don’t tighten to much. 🙂
I would like to try something like this when traveling. Looks like a lifesaver!
Looks great for traveling, my current travel belt looks more like the one from Eurotrip.
Love the idea of a belt the new iPhone will fit into! Thanks for the tip!

That’s funny that you are posting this. I literally was at Road Runner this past weekend looking at one of these. I was debating trying it out but wasn’t sure how comfortable it would be or if it would hold up from sweat and stuff.
Hope all is well girl.
I am not much a runner myself, only up to 3 miles at a time, but I am married to one! She would totally love one of these! She runs marathons, and the only I am going 26 miles is in a car!!

I think this would be perfect for my trip to Barcelona.
Thanks for the giveaway. You have a great blog
It will be the first time for me using such a belt
I could use one of the big ones. I just traded my iphone 5s for a Samsung S5 and need extra space. My old one doesn’t work although it’s a great product.
Looks like great idea for my trip to Rome.
Nice giveaway!
Great travel item. Thanks.
Looks like great travel gear. Thanks.
I hope I get one for my trip to Europe and Japan next month.

This would be great for my Wife (Jessica) at the Rock and Roll LAS!
Looks useful as phones just keep getting bigger
Would also come in handy for hiking as well
The large SpiBelt seems ideal for my new iPhone 6 Plus!
Awesome! Didn’t win any drawings at my trade show in vegas this week, so this would be awesome. Always a dilemma what to take/leave when going out for a run while on the road, so it’s usually just hotel keycard and ID in my pocket. Please please me!
i enjoy your blog. It is part of my Feedly.
Thanks for the giveaway!
This would be great for long runs
I want to run with this belt!!
This belt would be great for the days where I am away from home and want to travel and run. Or when I have a race and did not drive to it.
Thanks for all of the helpful tips, Thanks to you I’ve been able to maximize my travel miles.
You have made the miles game fun again. Thank you.
