If you follow me on Twitter, you might have noticed that I said I was really excited about being on a particular airplane yesterday. Well, I wasn’t just on it, but I actually slept in a 747 cockpit last night! It was certainly one of the coolest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in!
So, I Slept in a 747 Cockpit Last Night!
The Boeing 747, known as the Queen of the Skies, is a fantastic plane that excited many people. It has been phased out with several airlines as newer aircraft come into circulation but it is still an airplane that many people enjoy flying on.
I have flown on the Boeing 747 many times and I have been in economy (many times!), business class, and first class on the 747. There was actually just one area of the decks that I had hadn’t slept in before and that was the 747 cockpit. But, who really gets to sleep in a 747 cockpit???
If you happen to visit Stockholm, Sweden, you can sleep in a 747 and even book the cockpit suite to stay in. It is an incredibly cool experience and one that I was looking forward to more than any other hotel stay. I will be doing a full review of the Jumbo Stay hotel later but I wanted to throw up a bunch of photos I took to share the experience with you. Trust me, it is a really great experience!
Staying in a Boeing 747 Cockpit
As I said, I will have a full review later but here are a bunch of photos that I selected to show for now.
So, hope you get a feel of what it looks like to stay in the 747 cockpit! Yes, my favorite way to fly is still in Etihad’s Apartments but this 747 cockpit suite is now my favorite place to sleep on a plane!
Have you every stayed at the Jumbo Stay Hotel in Stockholm? Which room did you stay in?
Nice! A RWM blog post that’s actually related to travel for a change. How refreshing!
Interesting sights at ARN. I’ve seen the 747 hotel at ARN but never stayed there. ARN also has the first night golf course that Ii had ever seen.
Awesome, thanks for posting!
