The new Turkish Airlines business class cabin is going to be great! With a great new seat and cabin and Turkish Airlines’ wonderful service and food, these new cabins will be a treat to fly!

While some are not fans of the hard product of Turkish Airlines’ current business class cabin, most would agree that their soft product is really good. According to a story today from AusBT, that hard product is going to be really good on their new planes!

The New Turkish Airlines Business Class is Going to Be Awesome!

I have flown Turkish Airlines business class more than any other carrier’s business class cabin. I have flown it probably about 7-8 times just in the last year alone. While it does have room for improvement, I actually really like their current business class seat and the cabin.

Of course, their service and food is outstanding for business class so that should not need any real modification! But, the seats are going to be great on the new Turkish A350 and 787 jets they start taking delivery of this year. That’s right, as previously mentioned, their current 777 and A330 will not be getting these really nice new business class seats (though Turkish says they will be having a retrofit for those cabins).

According to the Australian Business Times, the new Turkish Airlines Aurora business class seats are similar to the regional ones that Singapore Air uses. Singapore is always a great airline to point to for seat comfort and design use so that is certainly good news!

The New Turkish Airlines Business Class Design

In addition to the exciting new seat itself, Turkish’s new business class cabins for their planes will feature a 1-2-1 cabin layout. This will be a welcome upgrade from their current 2-3-2 layout on their 777 aircraft. This means more privacy for customers.

The seat will have 44” of pitch and a 18” video display. The seat itself should be pretty spacious as well so this is an all-around great seat choice.

With the new Turkish Airlines business class cabin and their legendary service, the new Turkish Airlines business class should be awesome!

The New Turkish Airlines Business Class Schedule and Possible Routes

According to the schedule as previously noted, it should roll out with their delivery of these aircraft like this:

  • 6 in 2019
  • 14 in 2020
  • 10 in 2021
  • 12 in 2022
  • 11 in 2023
  • 7 in 2024

The first seat map that had been revealed with the new cabin late last year was for July/August of this year and for the Istanbul – Panama route. That would be a logical choice for one of the aircraft and I imagine that one of the JFK routes (probably the late night flight) and LAX will also get some of the earlier aircraft.

If I had to guess, Washington DC would be on the list as well. The Istanbul – IAH route uses one of their older planes so I imagine it will get one of the aircraft that the new planes will displace.

I am a big fan of Turkish Airlines – both in business and economy – so I am really looking forward to trying out this new cabin! I have flown them to most of the US destinations and probably have flown them in business class at least 25 times over the years. So, yea, this new business class cabin will have being even more of a fan!
