That was fast! The post I wrote earlier today about the increased offer of 60,000 points included a link that has already expired. Though it is not a big surprise consider how many people clicked it from this site and that had to be just a small sampling of how many people clicked through on other sites.
New Link For Citi Premier 60,000 Point Deal
However, a user on Slickdeals has found another link that is working for the same offer. No word on how long it will last so I would apply quickly if you missed out on the one from this morning. Some people have reported getting approved over the phone for the offer this morning so that might be an option for you as well. Either way, this is the best offer on this card and this link will likely not stay around long either.
– New Citi Premier 60,000 Point Application Link (not a referral link)
Below is some of the information from this morning’s post
Sign-up Bonus Value – at least $750 for travel
The Citi Premier card is one of those cards. Not only can the points be transferred to any of 11 different airlines (and 1 hotel program), but you can also use the points towards actually paying for travel and with that you will get a value of 1.25 cents per point ($750 in value).
However, if you also have the Citi Prestige card (more premium card with higher annual fee), it will also unlock the value of those points when used to purchase AA/US Airways flights – 1.6 cents per points! If you were to go that route, you would see a wonderful $960 in actual value on purchased flights!
If not interested in travel, you can also redeem for a variety of gift cards at a value of 1 cent per point, meaning you will get $600 worth of gift cards.
This offer for 60,000 points can only be found through the link above (not an affiliate link) as the regular, public offer is for 50,000 points. If you are interested in going for this offer, now is the time to do it! There is no annual fee the first year and the earning structure on the card is very useful – 3x points on travel and gas, 2x points on dining, and entertainment and 1 point on everything else.
The spending is a little bit more for this offer than the regular offer. You need to spend $3,500 in 3 months vs the $3,000 in spending required for the 50,000 point offer.
To read a great comparison between the Citi Premier and the workhorse Amex Premier Rewards Gold card, check out this post. It gives you a good look at what the Citi Premier can do.
If you want a card that gives you point options in programs that are not typical transfer partners, this is a great card. If you want a card that gives you great value for purchasing travel, this is a great card. If you want it, don’t wait!
Hey Charlie,
I opened my Premier in May for 50k. I called Citi today and asked for the extra 10k to be added since the offer was within 90 days of me opening the card. They gave it to me, no issue.
If you got the Premier within the last 3 months it’s definitely worth calling. 5 mins for 10k in points, well worth it!
Hmm… I am on the phone with Citi… being transferred to a supervisor. I got approved yesterday literally an hour before this new link appeared. The general rep wouldn’t budge. No way she said. So I asked to be transferred….
Wow… this supervisor wouldn’t budge either, claiming he does not see the offer on their web site… which is sort of true. I mentioned that he can easily google and link is out on the internet but he insist that those are not from their site and he does not have such offer available. Yes it’s not a public offer, may be a test or glitch that got leaked out? I noticed this in the application link URL “JulyOfferBannerTest” Hmm… I am just not lucky?
That is too bad! You must be unlucky because others have said they were given the points (but not everyone). The July bit I’m not sure about – a previous page said March. At any rate, it has worked for some, so sorry it has not for you.
Fantastic! Good for you – I will add this in the post.
Thanks! The extra bonus points, posted today, which took about 24-48 hours to post. Citi is definitely making great strides!
I just used the new link. I got the 60,000 point offer on the landing page and was approved instantly.
Great! Good for you!
Thanks for the tip! Had already been considering this card for an application in the next few days, so I went ahead and jumped on it for the extra $100+. Didn’t get an instant approval but no problems when I called.
Fantastic!

I had gotten my card back a few month ago, but believe I am still in the 90 period. Had met my minimum spend, etc. Called in to see if that would match the higher 60,000 offer, as mine was the lower 50,000. CS said that was not possible, but they could offer me an additional 5,000 points, as a gift (not sure he used that exact word, but something like that). Short phone call for 5,000 Thank You points = yes, Thank You! // Though now reading posts above, seems I should have maybe held out for full 10,000. Oh well. I’m at peace with how this particular cookie crumbled.
