New Aegean Lounge Opening Tomorrow – Great for International Flights!

There is a new Aegean lounge opening tomorrow that will be perfect for passengers on international flights out of Athens airport!

I have been meaning to get my First Look post out sooner than this about the newly refreshed Aegean lounges in Athens and Thessaloniki but those will have to wait one more day. 🙂 The good news is that Aegean is continuing their lounge push by finally installing an Aegean lounge in the international/ex-Schengen area of the Athens airport – tomorrow!

New Aegean Lounge Opening Tomorrow

Aegean has two (now) great lounges in their main hubs – Athens and Thessaloniki. While there are some ex-Schengen flights out of Thessaloniki, that zone is really not big enough to even put a lounge cubicle so no one expects one there.

It is a different story in Athens, however! Zone A/Gates A are international gates that fly outside of the Schengen zone and it is been lacking an Aegean lounge in that area. With the Aegean network growing, it only makes sense to have such a lounge there now.

Where Is It?

This new Aegean business lounge will be opening tomorrow (December 28, 2017) near gate A13 of the international zone of the Athens airport (Area A).

Who Can Enter

Passengers flying business class on Star Alliance airlines or passengers flying economy on Star Alliance airlines with Star Gold access will be able to enter.

There are a few contract lounges in the international area and with what Aegean has been doing with their lounges, the new Aegean lounge will be a nice addition.

Aegean has made some great moves and I am absolutely a happy flyer with them and can’t wait to see what 2018 brings. Hopefully, it will not bring award chart cuts. 🙂
