How Westin Is Celebrating National Running Day

Tomorrow, June 3, is what is known as “National Running Day.” Everyone celebrates it in their own way but Westin is taking it to another interesting “perspective” known as Run With a View.

Westin’s Run With a View

This initiative by Westin and their Run Concierges will begin tomorrow and continue throughout the month of June. It will involve more than 20 of their North American properties and will guide participants on scenic runs in the prospective cities to make their regular run maps pop with photo worthy locations.

Westin’s Run With a View will give runners a chance to hit 5 photo-worthy spots on their 5K and 5 mile routes. Some of the hotels that will be participating in this venture are: The Westin Copley Place, The Westin Grand Vancouver Hotel, The Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto, Le Westin Montreal, The Westin Charlotte, The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, The Westin Austin at The Domain, The Westin Indianapolis, and others.

“We are constantly evolving our wellness offerings to provide engaging fitness options that also encourage guests to explore their local surroundings,” said Bob Jacobs, Vice President of Brand Management, North America, Westin Hotels & Resorts. “Run With a View allows guests to discover intriguing, and perhaps never-before-seen, photo-worthy moments during their run, inspiring them to share their wellness experiences with friends, family and followers.”

If you are hitting Westin hotels in the month of June, stop in to check with the local Run Concierge to find the photo spots along the Westin routes. You can take your own photos and upload them to social media using hashtags #runwestin and #runwithaview.

I love to see companies promoting fitness, especially running. Westin has been doing a great job with that having their own Running Concierges and partnering with races around the world. I like their idea for National Running Day, what is your plan for National Running Day?
