If you are in the market for Hilton points, find out about the sale on buying Hilton points today and how you can get even more points!

Today, Hilton points are on sale as today’s Daily Getaway sale. But, before you rush to buy one of the many packages available, let’s break it down and see if there is a better option.

Hilton Points On Sale Today

Hilton points

Today’s Daily Getaway packages are pretty big for hotel points. If you have a big trip coming up and were planning on paying cash for the redemption, it could make a lot of sense to buy one of these packages. Here is what is available and what it breaks down to:

  • 100,000 Hilton points – $500 | .5 cents per point | 160 packages available
  • 150,000 Hilton points – $750 | .5 cents per point | 200 packages available
  • 250,000 Hilton points – $1,250 | .5 cents per point | 200 packages available

The packages become available at 1PM Eastern time today. You can buy the packages here.

It is nice that the cost per point is straight across the board the same – .5 cents per point. But, that is also right around where many people would put their redemption value as well. The Daily Getaway page values them at 1 cent per point (which is what they cost to purchase regularly) which I would certainly never buy at, other than for a minor top-up.

There are certainly many ways to get some great value from Hilton points, especially with longer stays. If you stay somewhere 5 nights and you have any elite status, you get the 5th night free on award stays. That can really help to extend the redemption possibilities. I loved it when I used my Hilton points for an all-inclusive resort as well – paying only 50,000 points for a great room and free food/activities was a great redemption.

A Better Option May Be Available For You

But, if you have not had the American Express Surpass or regular American Express Hilton card, you can easily get both of those and rack up 175,000 Hilton points with the two sign-up bonuses and a single $75 annual fee. To me, that is a much better avenue to go down as you do not have to put out the $675 (after subtracting the annual fee) to get 150,000 Hilton points today. But, everyone’s needs/travel plans are different. If you bought the biggest package for 250,000 Hilton points and did the Amex cards and the Hilton 75K card, you would end up with 500,000 points and only be out $1,325 for the total package. That could get you a pretty great stay at higher-tier properties. Plus, do not forget about the no-fee Citi Hilton card for 75,000 Hilton points!

If you already got the Amex cards, do not feel left out! You can use your Hilton Surpass card to get referral bonuses as well!

The choices available with miles and points continue to be pretty decent – just pick what works best for your travels! Just do not forget that all of the Hilton credit cards do give you the status you will need to take advantage of the stay 5, pay 4 award nights!

  • And I thought it was better but no it’s a credit card sign up. Anything better besides credit card signup?
