Turkish Airlines is about to launch their new Vancouver route and here are all the dates with business class awards available – in the new business class!

As of June 9, 2020, Turkish Airlines will start flying from Istanbul to Vancouver (YVR) with one of their new Boeing 787 Dreamliners. This will bring the famed Turkish Airlines experience to the Pacific Northwest and is certainly something that will be a great addition there.

Dates with Business Class Awards on Turkish Airlines’ New Vancouver Route

Review: Turkish Airlines New Business Class

This flight will be three times per week and they have now released award space for business class on this new route. Here are the dates that are currently available (as of the time of this post – February 19) and how many seats are available on this new route. Remember, this flight will have the new business class cabin and this is a great flight to grab from the West Coast since flights out of LAX and SFO typically have very little availability.

To start, I am only seeing availability on Tuesdays from Vancouver to Istanbul and from Istanbul to Vancouver.

Booking Awards on This Route

Here are 4 of the best ways to book these flights – remember, you can get to pretty much anywhere in Europe with Turkish so search for your final/originating city and you can connect with United or Air Canada to destinations around the US. But, those United flights may be a lot harder to secure! 🙂

  • Aeroplan – 57,500 miles and no fuel surcharges (55,000 miles if destination/origination in Europe is western Europe)
  • Aegean – 55,000 miles and fuel surcharges (less than $200 departing from Europe and around $300 departing from Vancouver)
  • Avianca – 63,000 miles and no fuel surcharges
  • United – 70,000 miles and no fuel surcharges

American Express Membership Rewards transfer to Aeroplan and Avianca and Chase Ultimate Rewards transfer to United. Marriott Rewards transfers to Aegean (as well as the other airlines).
