I am a huge fan of Oakley sunglasses. I have worn them, exclusively, for running for probably 10 years and really, really like them! But, they are not always cheap! That’s why I like to highlight opportunities when you can get deals on Oakley!
Great Stacking for Big Oakley Sunglass Savings
First, do take note that other retailers often have some sales on certain Oakley models, particularly outgoing models. This can even include Amazon sometimes and eBay Daily Deals. But, if you want to customize your own or get some accessories, this stacking sale is a great way to do it for less (the only thing better was the old 60% off codes that uses to float around!).
Step 1: Amex Offer
This is an Amex Offer that I have on many of my cards so I doubt that it is very targeted. Check your various Amex cards for this offer and save it to the card that you will do your Oakley shopping on.
Here are the details on this Amex Offer:
- Get a $25 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $125 + in one or more transactions
- Valid in-store at Oakley or online at oakley.com
- Use by 7/15/2019
- Limit of 2 statement credits
Oakley does sell gift cards (which these terms don’t exclude) but I believe they are only in-store. Since the next part of this stack is time-sensitive, do take consideration of that.
Step 2: Shop Through Rakuten
Link: Oakley Portal
Rakuten (formerly Ebates) is a popular online shopping portal that will pay you for you starting your shopping experience at your favorite retailer through their site. For their anniversary deals, they are offering 15% (or 20% for some accounts) cash back on purchases made at Oakley!
This means, to get the cash back, simply start your Oakley shopping experience through this link. They do exclude gift cards, not sure if that is just on the purchase of them or the redemption of them so you may not want to play around with a gift card!
Shopping portals often will not payout if you use a coupon code but the American Express offer is handled at the Amex level so this stacks perfectly!
Stacking the Oakley Savings
For example, if you were to buy something right at the $125 price point, you will get $25 back from American Express and another $18.75 back from Rakuten making your final $125 purchase only costing you $81.25 out of pocket. That is a savings of 35%! Not that bad!
