The Sony WH-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones are among the best out there and this is the best manufacturer refurb price I have seen – just $199! Check it out!

Here we go – the fantastic Sony WH-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones are on sale (manufacturer refurbished) for under $200! This is a pair of headphones that are better than the Bose QuietComfort 35II and you can get them for just $199 now!

I have this exact pair (and bought from the same seller as refurbished ones – great condition and work and look like new).

What regularly retails for $349 (like the Bose QC 35 II) has been on sale new for $298. I have used the Bose QuietComfort 35 and the 35 II headphones and now own the Sony WH-1000XM3. I can say (and I join many more qualified voices than myself with this) that the Sony headphones beat the Bose in just about every way.

This is the same thing but without retail packaging (still ships with the contents and carrying case) – for $100 less than the sale price ($150 less than retail price new).

Don’t forget that Sony just announced the Sony WF-1000XM3 which is identical to these but as earbuds instead. They are on preorder for $229 but the battery life is nowhere near as good as the headphones.

Also remember that Bose 700 headphones are now available – but for $399 new!

Likes and Dislikes

The only thing about the Sony headphones is that they are not as comfortable when hanging around the neck. This could entirely be a user-preference based on neck size/comfort but for me, the Bose were more comfortable. That is definitely not a huge dealbreaker for me since I rarely hang them around my neck.

The Sony headphones have great battery life, excellent noise cancelling ability and a really good companion app to customize the headphones to what you want. One more thing that may sound like a small thing but is huge for me is that they are USB-C charged. Just about every piece of tech I travel with is USB-C so that makes one less cable I need to bring on my trips now.

These are killer headphones for noise cancelling, especially on airplanes! It does a much better job than Bose with it and they show that Sony has really put the work into the 3rd generation models!

If you don’t believe me on the claim that the Sony headphones are better than Bose, do a search. There are a lot of tech gurus out there that feel the same way. Or, you can always try them out for yourself at your local tech store!
