Act quickly if you want to grab a DJI drone for just $280 brand new! This flash sale offers the DJI Spark for under $300 and it is a great little drone for travel and social media!

The drone market has just been climbing high over the past few years with manufacturer DJI really leading the way in that. DJI alone has drones for pretty much every category of user – professional, mobile professional, semi-pro, enthusiast, action/adventurer, traveler, and every one else. Today, you can get one of the popular DJI drones, brand new, for less than $300!

While this particular drone has seen some good sales before, I do not remember any of them being this cheap. It makes sense as the DJI Spark was first announced over 2 years ago, yet it still is a pretty good drone to toss in a bag for that next outing or trip.

To be clear, this price does not give you the set with the controller! To control it, you will use either your hands for cool hand gestures or your smartphone!

Here are the DJI specs:

DJI Spark Specs

  • 2-Axis Stabilized Gimbal Camera
  • 12MP Still Photos / 1080p/30 Video
  • Gesture and TapFly Control
  • FlightAutonomy with Obstacle Detection
  • Subject Tracking from Various Angles
  • GPS- & Vision Position-Based Navigation
  • Top Speed of 31 mph in Sport Mode
  • Up to 16 Minutes Flying Time
  • Up to 1.2 Mile Control Range
  • Control, Edit, Share with DJI GO App

There are a couple of significantly different specs on this compared to the Mavic Pro, Mavic Air, and other models. The first one has to do with the 2-axis gimbal stabilization (the other drones have 3-axis, the Spark uses electronics for the 3rd axis) and the 2nd is 1080p video instead of the 4K on other drones.

If you are using the DJI Spark for social media or for some cool shots of your vacation spots, chances are you won’t even miss the 4K video. Plus, it will be easier to manage the 1080p files over 4K anyway.

This drone also has fixed arms instead of foldable. While it makes for a slightly larger footprint in width (when transporting it), it is still very compact and the fixed arms have some pretty good durability to them.

I owned a Spark for a while and found it to be a drone I absolutely did not fear tossing around a bit – in a running belt, in a backpack, in my carryon – it was pretty durable. With the retail price at $499, this price of $280 is a pretty great deal!

Will DJI release a new drone at some point? Absolutely! But, it seems that it may not happen this year as DJI slows a bit from their aggressive release schedule of the past couple of years. Instead, they have focused on some of the GoPro territory with their latest action cam.

If you want a drone, this is a great one to get for anyone and at the best price yet!
