In somewhat of a twist from some promos, Hyatt will actually reward those stays at Hyatt House and Hyatt Place properties with more points than at all the other Hyatt properties and associated properties. Let’s take a look.

There is one key piece of information to know – the earning starts on the second stay of the promo period! That means you will not start earning anything until you have that first stay out of the way (in other words, get a one-night stay out of the way fast!)

Here are the details of this Hyatt promo:

  • Members earn 1,000 Bonus Points per night at 750+ Hyatt hotels, 10+ participating M life Rewards destinations, and 100+ participating Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
  • Plus, members can earn an additional 500 Bonus Points per night when those nights are at any of the 300+ Hyatt Place or 80+ Hyatt House hotels.
  • Members can earn for a maximum of 50 nights during the Promotion Period.
    • So, you can earn 50,000 points through this promo but you can earn up to an additional 25,000 points if you have stays at Hyatt House or Hyatt Place properties
  • To participate, travelers must:
Analysis

Like with most hotel promos of the last few years, I would not go out of my way for this promo unless you have the option to stay at a Hyatt Place or Hyatt House over a different hotel! Some people may not like them but I really do and many are bookable for just 5,000 points per night. This means you would get 30% of those points back with this promo!

I do like that Small Luxury Hotels are included in this promo, giving even more of a reason to stay at those properties over Hyatt properties 😉

  • What Hyatt Place or Hyatt House hotels are bookable at 4,000 per night? Category 1 hotels require 5,000 points so the net cost in points would be 3500 when staying at these two hotel types (30% back in points). Let me know if I am incorrect.

    • Agh, you are right! Thanks, Toby. Had a mind thing since most of my redemptions are at a Category 2 with P+C (which is 4,000 points). I will update and thanks for catching it!
