There is a sale on the Bluffworks Field Jacket that takes $150 off the regular price. This jacket is great for everyone, but especially travelers.

Late last year, Bluffworks (my favorite clothing brand – for travel and everyday!) introduced their first jacket. It is called the Bluffworks Field Jacket and entered at $350. I received one from them (disclaimer: as an affiliate partner, they send me products to try or offer discounts for things) and have been wearing it just about everyday from November until now.

The Bluffworks Field Jacket continues their garment tradition of offering comfortable, travel-ready clothing with plenty of pockets to keep your valuables safe. This means interior pockets, outside pockets with double access points, and a very rugged yet comfortable feel.

It has done a great job of stopping the wind coming off of the water but I will say this – you will want to layer if the weather is very gold. It is a very packable jacket and does not have any insulating material like an actual winter jacket. But, it blocks the wind nicely as well as helping out in wet weather.

Do I Recommend the Bluffworks Field Jacket?

Yes, I definitely recommend it! If you follow the sizing chart (available on this page at the link above the sizes), you can make sure you get the perfect size for your fit. Mine is a Medium and fits like a glove yet with room inside if I put another layer.

This is great for temperatures in the 50s/low 60s (if you need a jacket at those temps) and can work into the 30s before you need another layer. Of course, it will depend on how well your body handles low temperatures!

The pockets are great for holding anything you need while also having interior pockets that are perfect for valuables like your passport, wallet, phone, and more – all without feeling bulky at all.

The jacket’s regular price is $350 so this isn’t a cheap jacket but I can tell you that it should be a jacket you will have for a long time that will work great for the traveler. At $200, this is definitely a great deal.

Why It is a Great Jacket for Travel

  • lightweight
  • easy to wash
  • windproof/water resistant
  • plenty of safety pockets
  • very packable
  • built-in hood
