Big New Offer: 75,000 Hilton Points for Amex Card with No Annual Fee

Written by Charlie

A high new offer is here – 75,000 Hilton points for the Hilton Amex card that has no annual fee on it at all. These points can still give you value for a multitude of circumstances and they are super easy to get with a low spending requirement.

This year, Amex became the winner of the Hilton portfolio and they are not done trying to get more customers to join in Hilton rewards program. Fortunately, that means that new customers can get a nice 75,000 point payday with the no fee American Express Hilton card – for a limited time.

Here are the particulars about this card and offer:

  • Earn 75,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points with the Hilton Honors Card after you use your new Card to make $1,000 in eligible purchases within the first 3 months of Card Membership
  • EARN 7X HILTON HONORS BONUS POINTS for each dollar of eligible purchases charged on your Card directly with a hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio
  •  EARN 5X HILTON HONORS BONUS POINTS for each dollar of eligible purchases on your Card at U.S. restaurants, at U.S. supermarkets, and at U.S. gas stations
  •  EARN 3X HILTON HONORS BONUS POINTS on all other eligible purchases
  •  NO FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEE Enjoy international travel without additional fees on purchases made abroad.
  •  COMPLIMENTARY SILVER STATUS Enjoy complimentary Hilton Honors Silver status with your Card
  •  Plus, spend $20,000 on eligible purchases on your Card in a calendar year and you can earn an upgrade to Hilton Honors Gold status through the end of the next calendar year (the better option would be to get the Hilton Ascend card for Gold status instead – better than putting $20,000 on this card)
  •  Offer Ends 6/27/2018
  • This offer is not available if you have ever had this Amex Hilton card

With the Points Pooling with Hilton, it is a good time to get others in the family to sign up as well to take advantage of this pooling of points. With no annual fee, this is a great card to hold (unless you hit the 4 credit card limit with Amex and want to get a different card – in that case, you can always offer to close this card to get whatever other card you want).

Card Analysis

While Hilton points do not nearly have the value they used to (the 75,000 points with this offer won’t even give you one night at a top tier Hilton property), they still do have value. With Points Pooling, and Pay With Points, you can still stretch out the Hilton points you have.

If you are eligible for this card (meaning you never had it before), I think:

  • the nice low spending requirement ($1,000 in 3 months)
  • the no annual fee (ever!)
  • 75,000 Hilton points (worth at least $375)

make it a compelling choice if you do hotels and are looking for a new card.

If you have not had this card, I would certainly go ahead and apply now for it!

  • You do understand how worthless 75,000 Honors points are … right? That’s not even 1 night at many luxury hotels. Some credit cards offer enough points for at least one night at any hotel

    • So glad you skipped the whole post and the analysis just to leave this comment. Of course I realize they do not have the value of other programs (and mentioned that in the post you missed).
Do you understand that a hotel card with no annual fee is a rarity? Many people that get an offer like this may not be looking towards redeeming for a luxury hotel. I do know that this offer will get you almost 3 nights at some Manhattan Hiltons during some parts of the year. Not bad for a fee-free card…

    • HHonors points can be difficult to get great value out of, but it’s definitely there to be found.

I’m spending the night before a flight out of IST at a nearby Hilton Garden Inn for 5,000 points, which isn’t too shabby considering cash rates are around $50.

  • Solid option. Thanks for the review. I want to get interested in Hilton but I can’t make myself. The prices in points per nights are too high and fluctuate too much. But they are nice properties. Maybe when my run as a globalist is over… That will be a truly sad day in my life.

    • I like to keep Hilton points for airport hotels when I have an unexpected layover or some hotel when there are not Hyatts or SPG properties around.
And I can tell you as one who lost Globalist this year, it really will be a sad day! I am almost halfway to the Globalist 60 requirement for this year but doubt I will hit it.

  • This seems like a good card fro someone who rarely stays at Hilton. You don’t have to pay an annual fee and whenever you stay there you have Silver status.

  • Thanks Charlie! Love your site. I’ve had the “no annual fee” Hilton Amex card since 2004, and have gotten incredible value from it. I find it to be one of the very best “no annual fee” travel cards available. I understand the comments others have shared about the high number of points required for Hilton stays, but this card makes it incredibly easy to earn a ton of Hilton points… with no annual fee.
