There are 4 new airlines that have been added to the TSA PreCheck program, bringing the total to over 100. Here are the new ones and how to get PreCheck for free.

Today, TSA announced that they have added an additional 4 airlines to the PreCheck program. Unlike some additions which are obscure enough that many people say, “what airline??”, these are some bigger ones that travelers will be happy about.

TSA Adds 4 New Airlines

The latest airlines to be added to the expedited screening program are Aer Lingus, Air New Zealand, Ethiopian Airlines, and Saudia. Each of those airlines serve multiple cities in the US so this will certainly help any of the travelers flying on those airlines.

Even those with PreCheck have asked what the big deal is as to whether an international airline offers PreCheck or not but it really is a big deal! Even if you are flying out of a terminal where that airline’s flight is the only going out for hours, you will still find yourself in a security line with hundreds of other travelers. That can take a long time.

Even if it didn’t take a long time, PreCheck allows you certain comforts in going through security that other travelers don’t get. You get to keep your shoes on, you get to leave your electronics and fluids in your carryon, you can just stash everything in your carryon and walk through, you go through regular metal detectors instead of the body scope machines, etc.

I know I was really happy when Turkish Airlines had joined it as I was mostly flying them out of the US and it just made the whole process so much easier. Of course, when TSA decides to close the PreCheck line, that can really complicate things and make PreCheck customers upset…

These latest additions have brought the total number of airlines/charter services up to over 100. Here is the current list of TSA PreCheck airlines as of today:
