Hyatt is really doing an impressive job of making more lodging options available for their members and they are doing it without even having to build hotels! This latest inclusion into the World of Hyatt program comes as part of the Two Roads Hospitality acquisition from 2018. Earlier this year, they released the newly-included Thompson Hotels and, today, we have the Joie de Vivre Hotels.

Bookings are live now for stays starting as early as May 15, tomorrow. There are 14 Joie de Vivre Hotels that are in the US that will be in this latest release.
These hotels are concentrated in 4 states – California, New York, Maryland, and Illinois. While it would be nice to have more available in the midwest, these hotels are definitely boutique hotels which stand out much better in the crowded hotel markets of California and New York.

Something that is very welcome with this latest hotel release is the number of hotels that are eligible for Hyatt Free Night certificates with the Hyatt credit card (each year as an anniversary for holding the card) or with thresholds met throughout the year.
One more thing is that you can earn bonus points for staying at new properties and this new brand means more opportunity to hit 5 different brands to receive a free Category 1 – 4 night.
Another Thompson Hotel
When the 8 Thompson Hotels joined in March, there were a couple that were not part of the program just yet. That now changes as well for Thompson Playa del Carmen Beach House (which is a Category 5 for 20,000 points per night).
