United Award Sale For Travel To Europe

There is a new United award sale that can help you save up to 15,000 miles on travel to Europe! This is a great way to get to Europe on the cheap this winter.

United is running yet another award sale, which really just translates to their version of off-peak awards but they call them “sales.” Like last year, they are running it for the slower months of travel to Europe. If you are planning a trip to Europe this winter, this can help keep some of those miles in your account. However, do not forget to also just check the outright purchase price of a ticket. Tickets to Europe from certain cities in the US can be really cheap during the winter months so it pays to check all options.

Save up to 15,000 miles for award travel to Europe with this United award sale!

According to Wandering Aramean (found this there, no United link for the details right now), here are the booking details of this sale:

  • 25% discount on miles for travel on Monday – Thursday
  • 15% discount on miles for travel on Friday – Sunday
  • Book: by December 8
  • Travel: between January 11 – March 10
  • Must be roundtrip or open-jaw – one ways will not get the discount
  • Valid for economy only
  • Only valid for United flights
  • Valid for departures from US/Canada

The last part is kind of a disappointment. Last winter, United ran an award sale for business class tickets that was targeted on partners which opened up a lot more of Europe. But, at least you can still get to Europe for less!
