Good Deal on A Canon Camera With Lots of Points

The Canon Powershot SX170 IS has received some pretty decent reviews, enough that it would make for a great camera for personal use or for travel. It has a nice zoom – 16X optical – with 16 megapixels and optical image stabilization. The camera can shoot 720p video and has a nice, wide 28mm lens to allow for all kinds of shots.

This camera retails for $179 but is available everywhere (including Amazon) for $149. That is including Sears, which is also giving $67.45 in points with the Shop Your Way Rewards program towards future purchases! To be combined with that are coupons that you can load onto your SYWR account and get an additional $10 or $15 worth of points loaded on. Of course, this deal is made sweeter by going through your favorite shopping portal to earn the most points possible.

The part that makes this the deal is that, if you are in the market for a camera, you are going to pay the $149 but you will get up to $82/$77 in points to spend at Sears again. That includes rolling the points to be used on the camera again, earning another round of points and lowering the out-the-door cost on the camera to $77 (before tax) – this is if you purchase the same camera again. It makes a nice way to get a gift for someone while getting a lot of points for the future or for getting yourself a camera that will work better than your smartphone.

First, choose your shopping portal to earn points.
