There is a sale going on right now for Alaska miles where many accounts are targeted for up to 50% off regular price bringing Alaska miles to just under 2 cents each. But, you need to buy at least 50,000 miles to get that price. This could be much easier since you could really buy just about any amount and not be capped at any one time!

How Does This Work?
Here is how this works – the Alaska Mileage Plan portal is having a huge deal on miles paid out for buying from Magazines.com. The payout is a huge 50 miles per dollar! For Alaska miles, that is a great deal because you can buy as little or as many as you want – oh, and you get magazines as well!
Magazines.com does not have the cheapest price for some magazines but this deal makes the magazines really just a bonus. This could be a great time to plan out some gifts or to even order and donate to a hospital, library, or some other institution that would benefit from having free periodicals.
How Good Is This Deal?
So, how is this better than the current Alaska miles promo? If you have the 50% bonus and are buying large quantities, it really is not (use the buy Alaska Miles promo for that). But, if you need to top up your account for an award or you need some amount under 50,000 (or you don’t have the 50% bonus), then this deal is the way to go.
Buying $1,000 in magazines (yes, I know!) would net you a whole lot of Better Homes & Gardens or similar plus 50,000 miles. Alaska still has some generous award charts and that many miles would let you fly the wonderful Cathay Pacific in business class from the US to Asia! That is a pretty great deal since you will never be able to buy a regular business class ticket on Cathay Pacific from the US for that price (one way – unless there is a major fare mistake!). If you are prepared to pay for a ticket, you may be able to pay just a little more to get the miles needed for business or even first class (first class on Cathay Pacific would require $1,400 in spending at Magazines.com).
This is a pretty great deal for those that like to buy premium cabin seats for a little more than economy prices. If you want more Alaska miles and don’t have the 50% offer, then you will want to take advantage of this. Just do not use any coupon codes as that will invalidate your earnings!!!

Do you know how long does it take for the miles to post after I purchase the magazines? Thanks!
With United’s portal, I have had them post in 3-5 days. Probably the same here.
