The NYC Marathon was not run last year because of Hurricane Sandy so there will undoubtedly be even more excitement leading up to this year’s race since it has been 2 years since the Big Apple has hosted the marathon distance. I hope some RwM readers will be running there!

In other NYC Marathon news, it was announced just now that three US Olympic marathon runners will be participating in this year’s NYC Marathon – Meb Keflezighi, Ryan Hall, and Kara Goucher. Meb came in a fantastic 4th at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the marathon. Kara Goucher has had consistently good marathon performances and Ryan Hall is due for another great marathon. It should be a good representation of US marathoning talent in NYC! To read the press release, click here.
