Written by Charlie

Another higher Hilton offer is here – this one for the Hilton Ascend card from Amex. With this offer, you can get 100,000 Hilton points and a free weekend night after your first year with the card. Check out the offer and see if it is right for you!

The Hilton Ascend card has been at the 100,000 point offer but what makes this new offer something to look at is the inclusion of a free weekend night. This offer has been around before but you need to keep it past the first anniversary. That means you will be paying two annual fees to get the “free” weekend night.

Here are the details for this offer on the Hilton Ascend card:

  • Earn 100,000 Hilton Points after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months
  • Earn a free weekend night after your first anniversary of card membership
  • EARN 12X HILTON HONORS BONUS POINTS for each dollar of eligible purchases charged on your Card directly with a participating hotel or resort within the Hilton Portfolio.

  •  EARN 6X HILTON HONORS BONUS POINTS for each dollar of eligible purchases on your Card at U.S. restaurants, at U.S. supermarkets, and at U.S. gas stations.

  •  EARN 3X HILTON HONORS BONUS POINTS on all other eligible purchases.

  •  COMPLIMENTARY GOLD STATUS Enjoy complimentary Hilton Honors Gold status with your Hilton Honors Ascend Card.

    • Plus, spend $40,000 on eligible purchases on your Card in a calendar year and you can earn Hilton Honors Diamond status through the end of the next calendar year

  •  WEEKEND NIGHT REWARD Earn a Weekend Night Reward from Hilton Honors after you spend $15,000 on purchases on your Card in a calendar year

  •  NO FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEES – Enjoy international travel without additional fees on purchases made abroad.

  • Annual Fee – $95 (not waived)

Is This a Good Offer?

As I said, the only real thing that is different about this offer from the same offer normally available is the free weekend night after the first year.

Essentially, you will be paying $95 for that “free” night, which, depending on where you use it, could be a great deal. If you spend $15,000 on this card by the end of the year, you would also receive another free weekend night. This way you could plan a nice weekend getaway somewhere.

I would not mind paying $95 for a free night like this since it can easily be redeemed for several times that in large cities. I hold this card for Hilton Gold status so if you wanted to keep a card that would give you that, it is something to consider anyway. For the $95, you would get the free night and Hilton Gold for another year.

IF you have never had this card, I think it is a good deal to go for – if you have some Hilton redemptions in mind.

If you have a referral offer for the Hilton Ascend card, leave it in the comments and I will cycle it through the link above!
