Yes, it is still August but that does not stop fall hotel promos from rolling out. The first one is the Hyatt Fall promo for 2018 and, if maxed out, you can earn 60,000 Hyatt points. Find out the tiers needed and register today!
Hyatt Fall Promo for 2018
Link: Hyatt Fall Promo for 2018 (goes live at 10:00AM ET today)
Here are the tiers for earning points with this Hyatt fall promo:
While not as generous as last year’s Hyatt promo, it is certainly better than the brand-specific promos that we have seen so far this year.
Here is what you need to know to get these points this fall:
- All eligible nights between September 1 and November 30, 2018 will qualify
- To qualify, the nights must be eligible rates (which include Points+Cash) or free night awards
- Nights spent at participating MGM Resort hotels in Las Vegas will count as well as all the Hyatt brands (nights at Small Luxury Hotels of the World and Oasis do not count)
- You must register to take advantage of this promotion (the registration page goes live at 10:00AM ET, August 29, 2018)
Fall Promo Analysis
Stack with the 10% Rebate Promo
If you have not yet registered for this promotion to get a 10% rebate on points, make sure you do that today or tomorrow! All it requires is for you to have a Hyatt credit card and make stays before September 30, 2018. This means that you could stack that with this fall promo and use Points+Cash reservations, for example, to get a better return.
For example, if you were to stay at a Category 2 for 10 nights in September on Points+Cash rates, you would pay $550 and dish out 40,000 Hyatt points. With the 10% rebate, you will get 4,000 of those points back as well as earning 7,500 Hyatt points with this fall promo. Not counting your regular earnings, that means you would pay net of 29,500 (or 2,950 points per night) points for the 10 nights.
Of course, I am not suggesting you go out to do this just to get the points but if you had travel coming up, it is a nice way to increase the value of your redemptions.
Striving for Globalist Status? Could Help Lessen the Blow!
If you are striving to get the 60 nights (or 55 nights, if you are requalifying) for Globalist status for 2019, this promotion could help you get some points back in the process. Still, the World of Hyatt card kind of helps lessen that striving if you can switch to some spending on it. That is because you get 2 elite nights for every $5,000 spent.
Still, if you have hotel stays coming up (even if you don’t yet!), go ahead and register for this promotion. You never know if you will be able to pick up some points from it along the way!
